Each person can trace contribution of some teacher who helped that person to transform into a good human being with a more positive self-image, more self-confidence, more commitment and motivation to pursue excellence. This role of a teacher is universally acknowledged.
The NCTE will provide a forum to students to pay tribute to their teachers who they think transformed their lives. Through this forum teachers might also like to share their experiences that resulted in transformation of their students.
The visitors to the NCTE web site are invited to contribute to the forum on Teacher as a Transformer. This may be a personal tribute to a teacher or an incident recalled by a teacher that resulted in a positive transformation of the personality of their students. Such contributions may be sent to the NCTE for wider dissemination through this forum. Individual contributions will be posted as a web page with acknowledgement to the contributor.
