This multi-media presentation is an outcome of the Gnostic Centre's work with over a 100 mainstream schools, colleges and teacher education institutions over the last four years. As Gnostic Centre interacted with students, teachers and principals through talks and workshops, it was observed that in each institution there were people seeking for a holistic form of teaching and learning. It was also found that there was a search for models that would be in harmony with Indian as well as the modern ethos.

To facilitate this process and to provide a catalyst for change the Gnostic Centre organized a four-day educational conference for over 450 teacher educators, teachers and principals, in November 2000, titled "A New Education for a New India - Integral Education".

This multimedia presentation was specially created as curtain raiser for the conference.
