No. F-34-2/2005/NCTE/CDN -In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (1) and clause (i) & (p) of sub-section (2) of Section 32 read with sub-section (1) of section 19 of the National Council for Teacher Education Act, 1993, and in supersession of the National Council for Teacher Education (assignment of functions and powers to the Executive Committee) Regulations, 1995, the National Council for Teacher Education hereby makes the following regulations, namely : -

1. Short Title and Commencement

(1) These regulations may be called the National Council for Teacher Education (assignment of functions and powers to the Executive Committee) Regulations, 2005.

(2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. Functions

(1) The Executive Committee shall carry out the specific functions to be assignment to it by the Council from time to time.

(2) The Executive Committee shall have the authority and the powers to act and decide in the matters assigned to it by the Council.
